Check your controller.
Choose parts that fit.

You can check compatibility yourself using the steps below. If anything is unclear, send DriftFix your selections for review before paying. Similar appearance, colour or a listing that only says “PS5” is not enough to confirm a fit.

1. Identify the exact controller

Read the model label and select the matching controller family in the builder. Keep standard DualSense, DualSense Edge and PlayStation Portal separate. For Xbox, use the exact model number and distinguish Series, One and Elite versions. For handhelds, match the full model code and generation, not just the product name.

When a part lists a board or hardware revision, provide that revision as well. A product model number, serial number and board revision are different identifiers.

2. Find a PS5 DualSense BDM revision

  1. Connect your standard DualSense to a computer with a USB data cable.
  2. Open eXtremeRate’s BDM identification tool, press CHECK, and select your controller if the browser asks.
  3. Record the exact result, such as BDM-010, and enter it in the builder or quote. Include a screenshot when asking DriftFix to review it.

This is a third-party identification aid. If it does not recognise the controller or gives an unclear result, ask DriftFix instead of guessing. You do not need to open the controller just to submit a question.

For the external model label, Sony’s guide shows the DualSense model number on the rear above the QR code. That label is not a substitute for the BDM result when a part requires a specific BDM revision.

PlayStation Portal model information

We have not identified a published Portal BDM-style revision system or a confirmed revision split for these replacement parts. Record the CFI-Y model code from the rear label and the original edition/colour. Do not enter a standard DualSense BDM number for a Portal.

Sony documents CFI-Y1016; the Midnight Black listing uses that same code. Regional/model codes do not, by themselves, prove a change in part fitment. If your model or part listing is unclear, send it for review. This does not guarantee that every future Portal or aftermarket part is interchangeable.

3. Check the exact part and variant

Portal example: the four confirmed PS5 symbol buttons and D-pad can be selected in the Portal builder. Standard PS5 shoulders and triggers are excluded. Do not assume the rest of a PS5 control kit fits the Portal.

4. Choose the next step

Certain, or already confirmed by DriftFix? Provide the required model/revision, choose “Compatibility confirmed” and pay through Stripe.

Unsure or unable to identify the revision? Choose the review option. Send the full selected parts list, model label, any known revision, and clear photos or screenshots. Tell us which details you need help identifying. No payment or parts ordering takes place from a review request.

Prefer PayID or bank transfer? Send the selections as a quote. DriftFix reviews the parts and amount, then supplies payment instructions. After compatibility confirmation you can also return to your saved build and use Stripe normally.

Ask DriftFix to checkReturn to builders

For review, include front/back photos and the model label; a BDM-checker result is useful for standard DualSense. You can obscure the rest of your serial number. If the number is unknown, say so—do not invent one. DriftFix must confirm revision-dependent fitment before payment and ordering.

Switch, OLED and Lite stick replacements

The CTOUUGRS pair listed by DriftFix is offered for original Switch and Switch OLED Joy-Cons, and Switch Lite. Switch Lite needs the complete handheld for fitting. Joy-Con 2 and Pro Controllers use different service listings. If your unit is third-party or modified, send it for review before payment.
