Do I need to use a controller builder?

No. The builders are for listed DriftFix-supplied parts and planned custom builds. Use the service request form for any repair, diagnosis, soldering job, unlisted modification or installation of a part you already bought.

What are the stick replacement prices?

Accepted Answer

Listed prices cover a matched pair, installation, calibration and testing. Xbox One options are original-style analogue $40, K-Silver TMR $65, ElecGear TMR $85 and GuliKit TMR $90. Xbox Series, Elite, PlayStation and Nintendo prices are shown in their builders. Availability is confirmed before payment.

Which stick modules fit my controller?

Accepted Answer

Each builder shows only the options approved for the selected controller model. Xbox Series analogue and GuliKit modules are also available for ordinary Xbox One controllers through DriftFix’s complete installed service. Options without a confirmed fit remain unavailable.

Is there a separate soldering charge for stick replacement?

Accepted Answer

No. Each listed DriftFix-supplied stick-pair price is the complete installed price and includes fitting or soldering, calibration and testing. Customer-supplied parts and unlisted work are quoted separately.

What does non-stick soldering cost?

Accepted Answer

Straightforward non-stick soldered-module replacement is $20 labour per part, with parts separate. Listed fixed LB/RB tactile-switch repairs override that charge: one bumper switch is $20 and both are $30, with no added general soldering fee. True microsoldering and board-level work is $20 per actual hour.

How do diagnosis and cleaning work?

Diagnosis and fault-finding is $20 per actual hour, plus any required parts. Standard controller cleaning is $20. Liquid-damage assessment with deep cleaning is $35; extra parts or board repair are quoted separately.

What happens if my controller cannot be repaired?

Accepted Answer

DriftFix will explain the diagnosis. You can take the controller back and pay only the applicable diagnosis fee, or request a separate ground-up rebuild quote using salvageable parts, suitable DriftFix used parts and any required special-order components. Replacement motherboards and board-level electrical parts are not routinely stocked or advertised and must be specially ordered after payment.

When do I pay, and when are parts ordered?

For any job or build needing parts ordered in, choose the parts deposit or pay the full agreed total upfront before we order. The deposit counts toward your total. Pay the remaining balance before local collection or return postage. Builds using entirely in-stock parts must be paid in full before any work begins. DriftFix does not order a required part until its payment has been received. A change-of-mind refund for an ordered part is available only while the part remains unopened and unfitted; this does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.

What does a builder total include?

Listed stick-pair prices are installed totals. Other builder cards show the selected supplied-part price and any applicable cosmetic/mechanical installation or simple electronic labour. A base controller is included only when a retailer-sourced or For Sale controller selection expressly says so.

Can DriftFix install a part I chose elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Request installation only and include the exact product, variant and controller revision if known. A listing review is advice, not a fitment or compatibility guarantee. DriftFix may decline an unsuitable part.

What guarantee applies to a customer-supplied part?

Accepted Answer

DriftFix does not provide a fitment, compatibility, quality, condition or part guarantee for customer-supplied parts. The DriftFix workmanship guarantee covers only the installation work performed by DriftFix. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.

How long is the workmanship guarantee?

Accepted Answer

The DriftFix workmanship guarantee lasts 60 days from completion of the work. It applies to the repair or installation work DriftFix performed, subject to the exclusions on the Repair Warranty page.

Can I combine services on one controller?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose any stick service if needed, then add diagnosis, non-stick soldering, input repairs, cleaning, another modification or supplied-part installation in the same request.

What controllers does DriftFix repair?

Accepted Answer

Requests are accepted for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo and selected aftermarket or third-party controllers. Whether a repair or upgrade is possible depends on the exact model, revision, fault and available parts.

What is the difference between mail-in, new-controller and pre-built builds?

Accepted Answer

Mail-in builds use your own controller and have no base-controller purchase charge. New-controller builds include one selected sourced controller plus compatible extras. Pre-built builds include one available DriftFix controller plus compatible extras. Only a mail-in build requires you to send DriftFix a controller you already own.
